Top 10 Must-Haves Before You Hit the Water

#10 Beach Towel Clips

Ever sat on a beach with the breeze blowing across you? Relaxing, huh? Then you adjust in your chair and the towel under you gets twisted up or blows off all together. These clips hold the towel in place. Just clip the towel to the top of the chair and it stays put. By the way, they work great on outdoor table covers too. Hey, you can even use them as chip clips. Great for the beach or pool. Yes, I know there are cheaper ones, but these are just too cute. They come in toucans, dolphins, turtles, and a wide variety of themed designs. Click HERE.

#9 Straws

This is a must at most beach destinations. Eco friendly resorts, bars, and restaurants are more and more conscious of the environment and the impact of plastics on aquatic animals (yeah, I know some big words). Straws are among the worse culprits because of their size/weight and how easily they blow off your table. Many of these places no longer provide straws. Ever tried to drink a frozen margarita without a straw? Solution: Take your own with you. They are colorful, made of food grade aluminum, hygienic, reusable, and have no taste. Cleaning is easy with the brush provided. This one is large enough for frozen drinks, as well as your other beverages. Buy them HERE.

#8 Yeti Waterproof Backpack

A little pricey, as is anything with the Yeti name on it… but worth it! This part cooler, part backpack, is perfect for the lake or beach. The inside measurement is 12 5/8 x 6 ½ x 15 inches. It’s big enough to hold 20 cans with a 2:1 ice-to-can ratio. It’s lighter than you’d think (if you’ve ever owned a Yeti cooler). It’s waterproof so you don’t have water and condensation dripping down your back carrying it. The waterproof design and zippers also keep sand and outside water from seeping in. And of course, being Yeti, it keeps drinks cold for a long time. Carry it like a backpack, or like a soft cooler. By the way, you can use it as a waterproof backpack too, and just put things in it you don’t want to get wet. Click HERE to check it out.

#7 Backpack Beach Chair

Stop fumbling with carrying your beach chair. This backpack beach chair is easy to carry without giving up the features of the more cumbersome ones. Just fold it and throw it over your shoulder like a backpack. It only weighs 8 pounds. It has 4 easy-adjusting, reclining positions with a pinch-free design. It even has a pillow and cup holder! Get yours HERE.

#6 Waterproof Phone Pouch

Another beach must! This is a universal waterproof case that fits all smartphones up to 6.9" diagonal size, Perfect for the beach, pools, fishing, swimming, boating, kayaking, snorkeling and water park activities. The clear Window on both front and back sides is perfect for taking pictures and videos, even in water. Place your phone in this bag on your next snorkeling adventure and take photos and videos up to 100’ underwater. Its waterproof, snowproof, dirtproof and allows full touchscreen functions. Features a simple snap and lock access, easy to keep out water, snow, dust, sand, and dirt. Seriously, this is genius! Get one HERE.

#5 Beach Chair Pockets

This is 13”x13” caddy is handy on the beach where you don’t have a table to sit your things. Just strap it to the back or arm of your chair. It has one big main pocket for your book. (Their advertisement says it hold your tablet too, but that’s not recommended on a sandy beach). It also has two smaller pockets, one mesh pocket and a sunglasses hanging loop strap. So you don’t have to walk to get what you need. The adjustable straps with quick snap buckles can be used as shoulder bag as well. Click HERE to get yours.

#4 Umbrella

I myself am not a fan of umbrellas. But I have the skin-type that doesn’t burn. My beautiful, fair-skinned, wife however, burns just walking to the car. So this is a must for her. This light-weight, clamp-on shade canopy umbrella offers UPF 50+ protection to help keep skin safe from 99.5% of UVA and UVB rays. It has a heavy-duty universal clamp so you can just connect it to any square or tubular surface like your beach chair, golf bag, stroller, or even bleachers. It adjusts to any angle with a 4-way, 360-degree swivel and 2 push button hinges. It folds into a compact carrying case, weighing only 1.8 pounds, so it can be taken anywhere. When opened, the regular size spans 38 x 39 inches. Order yours HERE.

#3 Earbuds

These earbuds are great anywhere. I actually own a pair. They work great on the plane or at the beach. They are Bluetooth and sound amazing, both with music and voice. They auto pair when you take them out of the charging case. The charging case, once it is charged, can be unplugged and taken anywhere to recharge your earbuds. It has a user-friendly on-ear button on each side that supports play/pause, switching tracks and handling phone calls easily. Comes with a built-in microphones in both earbuds for hands-free calls and voice assistant. They last about 3.5-4 hours working time per charge. The charging case will charge them quickly about 9-10 times before you have to plug it in again. The ear pieces are super comfortable, so you can wear them a long time. There are a lot of Bluetooth earbuds out there, some cheaper and some way more expensive. I think these offer a lot and are pretty inexpensive for the features you get. Check them out HERE.

#2 Bluetooth Speaker

This is another product that comes in a full range of prices. But as with anything, you get what you pay for, and this one gives you a lot of features for a relatively low price. One thing I love, is the 360 degree sound. One-directional speakers only project sound one direction, so you have to sit in front of the speaker to get the full effect. This one casts music in all directions, so its easy to share. The Bluetooth speaker has 24W (2 x 12W) drivers and stereo widening DSP audio technology. What the heck does that mean? It’s plenty loud, clear, and sounds great! Here’s a great feature you don’t get on cheaper ones; you can pair two of these speakers together for enhanced stereo sound. It lasts about 10-15 Hours Playing Time, which is way more than the cheaper ones. You can also use the included 3.5mm audio cable to play from TVS and non-Bluetooth devices. For the beach or pool, it is waterproof (not submergible). I like this model the best (unless you want to spend a couple hundred and get a Bose). It offers a lot of bang for your buck. Check out this waterproof speaker HERE.

#1 Beach Wagon

Here’s a great tool for the beach. Take everything you need in this easy to pull, wagon. Don’t bother with the frustrating cheaper ones that keep tipping over or won’t roll in the sand so you end up dragging it behind you. This is a multipurpose wagon that will hold all your stuff, or your drunk friend (just kidding, leave 'em behind). It can carry up to 176 pounds! It is collapsible, so it’s easy to store and transport. It has large, wide wheels that will pull easily on the sand or dirt and provide stability from tipping over. The handle is extendable and retractable, which makes it even more comfortable to pull. The main part measures 38.58” x 23.22” x 22” and the folded size is 23” x 8.26” x 30.31”. Click HERE to check it out.
